Ebenezer Park

Ebenezer Park is one of my favorite spots on the lake! It is a large park with amenities like campsites, restrooms, boat and kayak launches, a swimming area, and a HUGE fishing pier! The park is sitting on a shallow part of Lake Wylie which brings in most species of fish during the warmer months. Some of the largest shellcrackers I have seen on the lake were caught right off the fishing pier and white perch are abundant especially in the spring. Catfish patrol the shallow waters at night and can be coaxed into biting during the day during the summer.

This park is quite busy on the weekends so make sure you arrive early for a day trip. You can stay an fish all night if you have a campsite, otherwise you will need to leave at sundown. There is limited bank fishing access but the pier offers enough space for everyone to fish. The BP down the road offers live bait and occasionally frozen bait. Further down, Bud's Bait Shop has a much larger selection of gear and bait.

Tips:

Ebenezer park is a great spot for fun sized catfish. Cut white perch or cut shad will almost always produce nice cats during warmer months.

Nightcrawlers produce plentiful white perch and sunfish. Fisherman regularly land LARGE redear sunfish off the pier. Yellow perch are rare but present.

Bass are pretty uncommon in this area but there is a boat launch you can use to reach better waters!

Carp are infrequent.

Water is shallow surrounding park.

Park is busy on weekends so arrive early!
